what file are you looking to delete?
do you know how to boot into safe mode
Start computer, press f8 before getting the "Windows XP Prof or Home" splah screen and select safe mode
once you boot up, you need to locate the file by going to start and then search, all files and folders, make sure under advanced options to select to search in hidden files and folders, and put in the file name and search (unless you know where the file is located) right click the file once you find it and select delete, go to the recycle bin, right click it and choose "empty recycle bin"
