Be careful! If you follow my instructions below you will delete EVERYTHING on the hard drive. This means every single file including your My Documents and everything else. This action is not undo-able!

If you're OK with that, then just pop you Windows XP CD in your drive, then restart your computer. It should say at some point during the reboot to "Press any key to boot from CD...". If not, post back. If it does, go ahead and hit a key.

Once in Windows setup, wait for it to finish starting up, then you'll need to tell it that you are installing Windows. When it shows you a list of partitions on your hard drive (such as C:\) select each one listed and choose to Delete them. Once all are gone, you will need to Create a new partition. Make it the biggest size you can. Once you have a new partition, choose it and go ahead and install Windows. You'll need to choose a file system (go with NTFS) and then format the drive.

Once you're ready you might want to print out these instructions because once you begin you cannot go back. There's also more detailed information here.
