I assume I'm not the first one to ask this, but... Is it at all possible to delete attachments in Outlook and/or Outlook Express without deleting the whole email? Alternauvely, is there any commercial software that can do it? imbear

Highlite what you want to delete then click on delete

Unfortunately, there is no way to delete only the attachment in OE - you must delete the entire message. Highlighting the attachment and pressing delete will delete the entire message, not just the attachment.

Hi imbear, BigBob, Hank, hello everyone, Hank is correct, if you highlight the attatchment and click on delete the entire message is deleted. Here is a way to work around it though. Open the message with the attatchment. Click on Forward. Highlight the Attatchment and Right click on it. Select Remove. Click on File and Save. The message will be placed in your Drafts folder. Open the Drafts folder, right click on the message and select Move to Folder. Select the folder you wish to store it in. Best Regards, Mesich
