There is a folder in The C:|Documensts & Settings directory that belongs to a previous installation. I no longer require this folder and it just will not delete.
Windows will not even allow me to look inside even though It is almost empty as I have seen inside it using a DOS BART disk. The BART disk also will not allow me to remove it.
I have changed the protection settings etc etc, Safe Mode, but no luck.
The folder does not appear in the registry as I have done a search.
Any ideas...??
I should note that I DO NOT Require this folder so please no suggestions to say keep it.

I hear you but without knowing which folder it is that you want deleted all I can say is that there are folders that CANNOT be deleted because they are part of Windows XP architecture. If you try to forcibly delete any one of the shell folders your windows will come to a screeching halt.
