deleted temp files in xp software now no internet display

Specs: Windows 32
Hi I have a Dell Inspirion e1505 (i know old) with windows xp and I deleted some files in temp files and now my media player 11 doesn't work and my internet is not displaying when i click on the icon my screen flashes different colors but fuzzy and i can still see the desktop then goes black then back to the desktop. PLEASE HELP me

Clearly you must have deleted more than just temp files.

You could try restoring a recent restore point, if you have one. If not you may have to dig deeper.

A starting point would be to reinstall media player and whatever web browser you are using. If the damage is deeper than that then you may need to do a repair install of XP, or even a complete reinstall.

I agree, you deleted something more than Temp files. Windows will not allow you to delete Temp files that are in use and if you delete a temp file that is not currently being used, it will be recreated next time it is needed. At worst, a re-boot will create any needed Temp files

A restore point is a good place to start a but depending on what it was you actually deleted it may or may not work.
