|Upon advice from another forum, I deleted all profile registry keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList. Their thinking was that a new default key would be created. After reboot a sort of default loaded with only the basics (same in safe mode).|
ALL executables do not work, these include:
exe.s, regedit, restore points, control panel user accounts, and etc. as there are no file associations. All folders including hidden are intact, except that I'm not finding the System Volume Info. folder. Only the above registry was changed w/o ability to access.
I'm hoping for a way to access the registry through the recovery (or command prompt) panel to find the deleted or .bak registry keys. I also have the NTUSER.DAT_BAK files under its admin. user if this helps.
Open to all advice, but not willing to format or reinstall cop-outs...
