When i start windows a dialog box of a recent deleted program still pops up. From where i can stop this box from poping as windows start?
Thanks for your help

I hardly get this type of popup after I deleted (uninstalled) programs. Are you using any third party utility program? The reason I ask is that AFAIK Windows XP itself does not do this.

Unless the "popup " is more specifically a "cannot find" type of dialogue that comes from MSCONFIG startup items.

You say the program was deleted. Did you just delete the folder where it resided, or did you actually do a proper uninstall through Add/Remove programs?
Your startup is looking for the executable for that program. Go to this key in the registry and delete the reference to the executable
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

i uninstalled it ( the program came with the uninstall package i.e) but when i reboot d computer it pops up ...cannot find the program in c:/program files
Thanks for your help
