CPU/Ram: 1.7g p4/ 128sdrram

i have both win xp and win 2000 installed but i want to remove win2000 completely from my system and use only win xp pls tell me how to do this and also some tips on how to improve the performance of win xp

Unless you are short of disk space, you ought to just leave it alone.

Probably the best way to improve performance is to add RAM.

If it was me, I'd use w2k. Sell the XP and buy RAM.

I would certainly agree with the ram upgrade. My opinion is 512megs of ram is minimum for xp.


To remove W2K edit the boot.ini and remove the references to w2k. Delete the winnt folder [c:\winnt] which is the default folder for W2K install [might want to confirm you didn't use the same folder for the xp install which is usually c:\windows]
