Comment:

I installed some free software a while ago (something called Burn4Free), which added an entry to the context menu shown when you right click on files.

I've deleted entries in the regirsty corresponding to this but it still appears, so either I've missed something obvious or the context menu entry is called something cryptic.

Is there a way to delete the entry, either through some editor program or other way ?

Thanks.

You should have Googled, or checked the Burn4Free FAQ's before posting.

Remove annoying or non-useful programs from right click menu

Please only do this if you are comfortable with editing the registry. Breaking the registry can crash your whole system.

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type in regedit and click ENTER
4. Browse to the following:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

(This is where programs attach to the right click menu.)

5. You simply delete or export then delete the keys you do not want.
