Is there anyway to set a default view in win xp for the whole computer? When opening folders the files are always shown in tile or icon view which i hate and i want to set the default view to list. Also possibly list and arranged by type. Does any one know if this is possible and also how to do it. Thanks for any help.
Go to tools, folder options, and then views click apply current view to all folders and that should fix your problem. Of course make sure you are in a folder you have already setup the way you want it to look first.
