Hi, I am experiencing the following problem Setup : notebook P4 HT Mobile 3,00 Ghz 512 Mb ram 60 Gb Ata hdd Windows XP pro SP2 Startup: Msn Norton internet security United Devices Agent Skype Situation : When i am using my notebook everything is fast as it should be, everything is working fine. But when I try to shut it down, some programs close, then the system stalls, mouse still responding, after a half a minute or so, Windows give a message 'DDE server window not responding' When I click on, End task, it shuts down, and in a second of more whole windows is shutted off, but what is stalling my system over and over again?? Well thank you azzer, i didn't come up with a direct solution. But the searcharea is clear to me. A good windows update can't hurt I think. Thanx
