Hi, I require a urgent Help. I am using Windows XP professional on my PC and have come up with a problem. I tried to Run dcomcnfg.exe and as usual a Component Services window popped up. I tried to select the Component Services option under the Console Root on the Left side of this window and there goes the window. It just closed. I had previously tried to install Visual Studio6 on my system and got the DCOM bug and on searching for help on "www.microsoft.com" ,got a solution to try the dcomcnfg.exe option. I was to try that when i found this problem. The "COM+ Event System" service is Started but the service "COM+ System Application" Stops immediatly after starting. I am just a beginner in this area so please help me out so if any more info required please tell me.

One thing you may want too do is goto start and run dcomcnfg and and check the help menu click help topics and goto Services/Concepts/Default settings for services -double check too make sure that you have the same settings and it should run fine the most important one is too make sure that your RPC (Remote Procedure Call) is enabled for that user because that is required for both those services too run. Good Luck - Stevie D
