3 days ago my hotmail started locking up everytime i went to it. the only way out is to use taskmanager to end the process. Also i noticed in my events DCOM error 10010 the server{323COF99-820A-4EOB-B714-57942C6D9678} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout. These started on the same day. Not sure if theyre related or not.
Ive scanned for viruses, adaware, and cleared cookies, and all that. any ideas?XP Home sp1., Compaq Presario 55030NX, 256mb ram, AMD Athlon, dw6000 satellite

Look here for some ideas about DCOM (in a layman language, not very lengthy)

Please post back within 24 hours or I will delete the post from my follow up list. Thanks. It would be a courtesy if you would post back and let us know if the fix worked or not.

So from what i read, i dont even need DCOM? I can safely shut it off? Leave it to msn...
I looked back through my logs and found that i had downloaded the patches mentioned and uninstalled them because they caused problems. (i've done that many times with windows and msn updates and patches).XP Home sp1., Compaq Presario 55030NX, 256mb ram, AMD Athlon, dw6000 satellite
