Dban and harddrives

i used dban on my laptop for a fresh start, and now a cant see my hard drive at all. what happened? and how to load up xp. it picks up the vista installation disk but not xp... compaq notebook n610c

odds are you need to supply xp install with the hd controller driver or no disks will be found

traditionally you pull out the driver cd that came with the notebook or go to hps web site, lookup that compaq model and then download the drivers.

ok so my laptop is only installing vista, and its designed for xp. i dont understand why i cant install xp. i only have 512ram!!!
