The time shows in my system tray and the date shows if you enlarge the tray so it reads below. Now if I want to keep my tray down in side and slide my cursor over time to get the date to pop up to read it will not pop up far enough. I can only see the top of the date box. If I set the system tray in autohide the date window will fully pop up but when not in autohide it will not show. Gee hope this is readable....tried everything any ideas out there.

Try a different screen resolution.
Right click on an empty part of the desktop > Properties > Settings .
800 X 600 is a good starting point , also Colour quality > Medium [ 16 bit ]

You might want to try the utility that was made for that purpose and offered at http://computing.net/windowsxp/wwwboard/forum/132401.html.

teabag, You could go to the link below, scroll down to line 321 left column and download the "Tool Tips Hidden Behind Taskbar" .reg file. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt. It has worked well for many others.

Bryco, that link is no longer there just a Craftsman Link. Tufenuf, I have put that page on my favourite list as it has a lot of good tips. This morning when I turned the computer on everything is back to normal. Date is showing properly. Gee tempermental view...lol Thanks for all your help.
