I need help!!! I have a word document that I converted to an Excel file. In one column is dates, ie: 5/17/07 and some are just 5/07. Excel changes the 5/07 to 5/01/07. I cannot have that. It has to stay exactly as typed. What can i do

If you right click the cell, then go to format cells, under Custom change the TYPE field to dd/yy and press ok. This will show it up at 05/07. Change it to d/yy to show it as 5/07.
for months obviously use mm/yy
