Hi, is it possible to connect a PC to laptop through USB and a Network Card? My PC doesn't have a network card, but I do have a USB 10/100 ethernet adapter. Is there any way to transfer files using USB and a network card?

I'm sure what you're talking about doing will work fine, as the adapter should act just like a normal network card. Try it. Worst case scenario: It doesn't work.

You can also network them together using a special USB cable, using the USB ports on both computers and not even worry about the ethernet card or cable.

Hey Bryan, do you or anyone else know how I might attempt to setup the transfer using my configuration listed in my initial post? I am trying to do this transfer without having to buy anything if possible even though I will eventually end up buying a network card later. Trying not to spend too much cash since I have tuition and other expenses.

Pacman...wish I could help further, but I have no idea what equipment/configuration you are talking about in your original post. I don't know what adapter you're referring to. If it's an adapter that converts USB to ethernet (which is what I imagine you're saying), it should work perfectly well, as though it were a standard network card. Just run the networking wizard on the computers and you should be in business.
