Data Loss & DS_STORE files

May 23, 2010 at 07:06:18
Specs: Windows XP
I've lost 700GB of data from a 1TB Hitachi HDT72101 hard drive. The data was ripped DVD's saved as ISO files. All that remains in the folders where the data was is a file called DS_STORE. Apparently these are Apple files used to 'store custom attributes of a folder'. I don't have a Mac. All the other data on the hard drive is intact. At a total loss as to why this has happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, GilFra

Shame on you for ripping copyright material! Maybe the internet police deleted them while you were online. Justice I say.
