Hi!
I know this topic has been brought up before, but I really need help with this problem:
While I was using Windows Explorer several days ago, it suddenly crashed. The folder closes and the taskbar and desktop disappear temporarily (Sometimes permanently but comes back after I restart the computer). This has happened several times before but nothing really happens.
However, this time, after the taskbar and desktop came back, all of the contents of the folder I was viewing disappeared (AVI files, mp3 files, Word & Excel documents, etc.).I automatically assumed that the files were just deleted, but when I went to check my disk space, it indicated that nothing has changed! My free space stayed the same, and nothing was in my Recycle Bin.
Is there any way to get my data back?
I'm not very good with computers, so any help would be appreciated.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Yeah, I tried it, but every time I do, it says that the restoration was incomplete.

Just to second that - files rarely 'vanish' - XP sorts many folders by username, if you log on as a different user... they're not where you expect them to be(!)
I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.

To Derek:
I tried that but nothing comes up. I thought that they might have been changed to hidden files, but that wasn't the reason either. To jboy:
I couldn't find any of the files in my other account either.I'm still not sure how to fix this problem , but thanks for the advice, guys.
