Fresh install of Windows XP Pro on a new hard drive - - - trying to copy files from one pc to the new....i burn the files with nero...when trying to copy the files from the cd and put on new drive i keep getting a "data error cyclic redundancy check" error during the copy function. I thought perhaps it was a bad rewritable cd that i was using but it happened again on another brand new cd....any suggestions as to what's happening and how to fix? thanks in advance.

CD Writer problem perhaps?

Why not use a USB stick or better still connect the two PCs together using a cross over cable and transfer files that way.
