OS: XP
CPU/Ram: 2800+ w/2 512
Comment:

I built my computer. With Chaintech 7NJS Zenith with athlon 2800+ processor. Raedon 9700 pro with 2 sticks of 512 ram. I try to play warcraft 3 and Unreal 2. It locks up and i get a blue screen. Nothing else, just my whole screen is blue. I tried lowering my graphics on warcraft to medium. I got this error message.

Fatal Error
Exception 0xC0000005 (Access Violation) at 001B:B96F6C72
The instruction at '0xB96F6C72' referenced memory at '0xB96F6C72'
The memory cound not be 'Read'

When i first put my computer together, it was running hot at about 85c - 90c. But i fixed it and now is running at 50c -54c. could i have damaged my processor with those temperatures?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Tom

Sounds like a memory (RAM) prob to me....

Try running the game with just one Ram stick at a time.

Also, check Device Manager for any yellow exclamation marks.

I think ur processor should be ok.

Ok, i took out both sticks of ram. Tried them 1 at a time. I loaded warcraft 3 with the settings all the way up (screen size 1024x768). I got the blue screen on both pieces of ram. The only thing i have yellow exclamation marks on is my raid controller and a USB port controller. I installed these before and it was doing the same thing. I formated my hard drive eariler, before i wrote here because i thought windows was causing the errors.
