Daemon-tools wont work

I´ve been using Daemon-tools for some months now, but when I installed the new 3.17 version the computer didnt assign a free driveletter to the drive. I tried install the old one (310) again but that didnt work either. In devicemanager I can see it, but as it doesnt have a drive letter I cant access it. When I click on "unmount all drives" it sais the unit is locked.

I got a new puter & it had daemon tools installed. I don't know why?? but it was a real pain as you are finding, nothing I could do but remove the program-then no problems. I didn't even discover what daemon tools does? cheers shawn (miss)
