d:/ not a valid win32 application

cd drive is not reading a cd in my new drive. Comes up with error d:/ is not a valid win32 application. But tried it with different drive and it works fine.

if the cd drive can read other cdroms, than it is possibly dirt on the cdrom (clean in with water and dish soap), or the cdrom is damaged or it is burned with software your cd drive can't handle properly
if it can't read other cdroms it is broke and you have to buy a new one
first thing that is damaged in a computer is always a cdrom player

though this helped me many times:
clean the cdrom player with a special cd cleaning cdrom
if you don't want to buy one, try blowing air in it (not the air from your mouth) and vacuum clean it cautiously after that
