Reply:

1. Download Spy Sweeper v3.5 from Webroot.
2. Install Spy Sweeper and Update Definitions.
3. Download Spyware Blaster from Major Geeks.
4. Install Spyware Blaster and check for updates.
5. Turn off System Restore.
6. Reboot into Safe Mode.
7. Run Spy Sweeper
8. Run whatever other Anti-spyware software you have.
9. Reboot into Windows.
10.If you use System Restore, turn it back on.

Leave Spy Sweeper running at all times. Go into Shields and set your homepage to what you want. Remember that if you ever want to change your homepage, you must reset it in Spy Sweeper; nothing else can change it otherwise.

Spyware Blaster should keep your system clean, and it's free. You can also download AdAware SE, which is also free.

You should also try CW Shredder, Hijack This and Spybot S&D -- all free. Spy Sweeper is the best product I've found. It worked when the others didn't. I bought a 2-year subscription for I think about $39.95.

However, a lot of people do well with just the free products that I mentioned above. Get a good firewall (Sygate is free, that's what I use,) and a good anti-virus. I think the free anti-virus that people have been using lately is Avast, or something like that.

Good luck.
