I had this problem after having XP Pro installed for four days. I've seen other people post about this problem, but not one person can come up with an explanation as to WHY this happens. This is a major error in MS's supposed "Best and most stable OS ever". Please, if anyone knows why this happens and a way to stop it from happening again, let us all know.

Yes, that is the message. I re-installed and it works, for now. For how long? Who knows. I was looking for a cause and then a way to keep it from happening. MS is obviously aware that this exists.
