I reinstalled my operating system yesterday but now Norton AV keeps on telling me that c:\WINDOWS\system32\muamgrd.exe and c:\WINDOWS\system32\recall.exe are W32.spybot.worm. However when i try to fix them through norton it says file access denied. Nor I can delete them manually.

What confuses me even more is that how I got them in the first place as I just installed the system yesterday.

Any help will be appreciated.

Did you go online at all. With worms like trojans all you have to do is go to a website and you get hit. If you didn't go online at all then one of your programs may have a worm on it. Seems like you may have spyware of some sort in one of your programs.

Did you try using a program like Ad-aware SE v1.04 and do a full system scan and see if it can get rid of it?

did you go into the log file in norton antivirus where it gives you detailed info on that worm and gives you a direct link to symantec website about that worm and how you can remove it?
