I am trying to share a printer on a Gentoo machine with a Windows machine and a ClarkConnect machine and other Gentoo machine. I looked at two HOWTOs one a user here posted and one from Gentoo. To mean this is all overwelming. I can't connect to my printer on ClarkConnect and I'm not sure about the windows. I am now resorting to using WebMin to configure webmin. But do you know a nice n00b like howto on Samba? I am not a PC n00b but I guess I am a Samba n00b.

Samba seems confusing, but it's pretty easy...especially if you use SWAT to do your samba configuration.

The easiest thing to do is use SWAT (accessible through Webmin if it's installed) to set your work group name and share parameters. You can find the samba-swat on rpmfind.net.

Although your question is about windows networking, this subject is more appropriate. in the Linux forum. If you do a search there, you'll see that your question has been answered numerous times.

Best of luck to you.
