Cubase music program regularly crashes in XP

November 28, 2011 at 12:13:50
Specs: Windows XP SP 3, AMD Processor model unknown 3.01 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM
When using Steinberg Cubase SE3 computer-assisted music program, it will sometimes crash upon loading a file, or when just working inside an already opened file. I have a keyboard MIDI connected through a USB device. The program crashes and will not be terminated by the Task Manager, nor will killing its process make it go away. The only solution I found is rebooting my PC, which will enable me to restart the program without trouble. The Windows Error Report shows me an error signature with the following details:
szAppName: CubaseSE3.exe; szAppVer:; szModName: hungapp; szModVer:; offset: 00000000.
Also, here's the log of the error:

Please help me solve this problem - I'd really like to be able to make my music without a fear of the program crashing on me, forcing me to reboot my computer just so I can start it back up again. Also I believe it can't really be good for my machine to have a faulty program on it.
Thanks a lot,

May have to reload the OS and update it. Then install only cubase and then see if it crashes.

Might have to run a diag on your computer too. Run memtest for a few days. Run hard drive diags. Look for temps being off. Could be some cache issue with drive even.

See if you have more info at event logs too.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
