I just switched on my computer and tried to see the running processes to disable some of them, as I usually do, but the ctrl+alt+del combination doesn't work anymore!

Are you getting a blank Task Manager?
If so, just double click anywhere on the TM and it should return to its normal window.

Also try Start, Run, then type
taskmgr
See if that opens it. Maybe one of your keyboard keys is not working.

malkovich, If none of the above suggestions works go to the link below and scroll down to 51 and in the right column download the "Enable the Task Manager" fix. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.

Another easy way of getting the task manager is to hold the ctrl and shift key. While holding them hit the escape key. That will bring up the task manager without having to ctrl+alt+delete then select the task manager button. I hope this helps
