ctrl key problem

I'm not sure of your intentions but it does seem slightly outlandish. You could try doing a hardware re-map of the code for the Control key.

Make it send an unused/undefined key signal when pressed. Although, it sounds like this would be on multiple computers and therefore if you ever decide to change, you've got many keyboards without Control keys.
