Comment:

I have 'ctfmon' in my MSCONFIG startup. The path is c:\windows\system32\ctfmon

I try to turn it off, but each time it returns checked in the MSCONFIG. I heard this might be a indicator of a worm virus. But I've run two separate Virus scans and they don't pick it up. I run Norton AV 2002 Pro (with latest Defis.) with full heuristics, and Panda Online Virus scan. Both come up with negative results.

Anyone have any idea what this is, or how I can get rid of it??

Don't know where you heard it from. It's neither a virus nor a worm. It's a perfectly legitimate M$ tool. Read this MSKB for the procedure to remove it from the startup.
