when starting windows firewall service,i got error message saying, error 1075:the service does not exist or it has been marked for deletion, its something like that.
when i want to use the search tools, the search companion is blank with silver color.
when i want to use the system information, help and support, and system restore, all the tools didnt started even if i click 10 times.
when i go to internet explorer-->about,the about page didnt show my version of internet explorer and product id.
when i want to connect to the internet,i go to start-->network connections, but the folder dont have any dialer(i use dialup).if i make a new one,the dialer also didnt show up there.so i borrow my mothers laptop to browse the internet.but the worst is the network connections folder is empty!i hope this problem is fix first.
when i go to start-->control panel-->user accounts, the page is just white.there maybe more error that i didnt realize.ive search the web and some users fix by fixing the windows management instrumentation, some fix by registry hack, and some fix by making a repair install and a clean install.i choose to make a clean install because i dont know in registry which one is the culprit.i then make my windows to make a clean install, the setup launches and it have some "JOB" to do.but when the setup gets to the preparing installation section,it says, setup cant find the BOOT.INI FILE in c:windows.....please restart in the boot cdrom and choose to repair installation, press r......dont remember it exactly.also, when i start the windows, the machine will beep once and then saying about ram, press del to enter setup.the next screen will display the controller, ets.at the screen AFTER the first and second screen, this screen SHOULD show windows xp logo and the bar for loading.but in my computer, the sreen will show short message before the windows xp logo screen.the message says like this, invalid boot.ini file.booting from C:WINDOWS.,like that.hlep me guys fix this problem.im afraid that i can no longer connect to internet.help me please.i really really really reall really appreciate if anyone can help me.thanks a million for any help or fix.

Run scandisk "CHKDSK /F" to see if you can get things fixed. After that, run Defragmenter.

It sounds like you are going to be running a System Repair from the Repair Console, very soon.

Just boot your unit with the XP disk in the CD-Rom. You must set your BIOS to start from the CD as FIRST BOOT. Then just follow the instructions on the Install XP Now option. DO NOT use the REPAIR XP option. You will be given an option to repair your installation on the 3rd or 4th page of the wizard.
