Hello all,
I installed a Creative webcam 5 and it seems that it is conflicting with something in my system and it hangs.
My system :
AMD XP 2000+ .
DDR 333 ram 2x 512mb (1G).
Gigabyte board Ga-7vrxp.
Asus Geforce 4 Ti 4600 128mb Video card.
Creative Audigy sound card.
Microsoft Keyboard & Mouse both USB.
Extra 2 USB ports free........Ok he is the mauaul for the Creative Wecam 5:
Which says ?1. Do not connect Webcam to your computer before installing the drivers.
If you accidentally begin instalation with Wecam connected, the Found New Hardware Wizard dialog box appears.
Click the Cancel button.
2. Insert the Webcam instalation CD into your CD-ROM drive.3. Click the names of the drivers and applications you want to install on your computer, and then click the OK button.
4. Connect the Webcam's USB port on your computer. Place Webcam on top of your computer monitor or another flat surface.
Windows automatically detects the device.5. When the Found New Hardware Wizard dialog box appears, select Install the software automatically (Recommended), and then click the Next button.
6. When a Microsoft warning dialog box appears, ignore the message and click the Continue Anyway button.
7. When the Light Frequency Selection dialog box appears, select the option that represents your power supply frequency, and then click the OK button.
Installation is now complete. As you see i have done all that as shown above except the question 7.v which did not appear.
When i get to question 6. it is trying to do somthing and it just sit there and freezes....then i have to reset the system.
I think there is a conflict somewhere which i cant work out of fix.
Any suggestion how i can fix this please....
Thank you.
