I've got a whole series of separate PDF files that I'd like to combine into one multipage document. What do I need to do in order to accomplish this? I've got adobe reader 7.0, Photoshop CS2, and ImageReady CS2. Can I start with any of these?

take a look at PDFtk (PDF toolkit)

That works fine for me in merging and splitting PDF documents. It is freeware and has just the drawback to be a command line (not friendly) tool.
