I am trying to make a photo archive...i have pics from the 1920's to present...but EVERY time i go to add more pics to the disc, all of the dates are completely mixed up...no order at all, not as i put them...the CD burner people say there is no way to prevent this...what good is making an archive if this is so? Are there any burners of better quality that DO allow you to make a disk and KEEP the order that you place them in?

how do i STOP .net messenger from automatically opening up?

The order they go in on the disk is not relivant... it's how they are VIEWED. In other words the CDburner is not the problem. You need to either give the XP view mode a referance point to view in an order (ie: name the pictures A, B, C, D...)

Or use a third party viewing program that will allow you to preset the viewing order.
