I know that this has been posted before, but nothing has worked for me. I have a desktop that has Symantec Ghost 8.0 on it, this is the computer that stores all of my images too. I have some 20+ laptops that get ghosted down to. Not all laptops have both CD and floppy, and none of them have a burner. I need to make a bootable DVD with Nero 6. From what I have tried I can get the computer to boot, but since I can't get floppy's on to one disk, it won't recognize the Ghost.exe. I tried using WINIMAGE to make it a 2.88mb image, but Nero 6 will only make a bootable CD from what is in the floppy drive. Any help will be much appreciated!!

So.... are your trying to ghost you laptops? If so then why burn a bootable DVD if your laptops dont have a DVD drive. I have used Ghost4Unix to copy harddrives images to multiple computers via network that do not have CD roms and it works quite well. You do need to setup a FTP server but that too is quite easy. I hope that helps if not you might want to read this

These computers are deployed computers. When they are here, it's no problem, I just ghost over the LAN. But if they go out to the field, and something happens (which it does), I don't want to have my people trying to rebuild computers (wich most don't know how to do). All of the packages that go out, will have a DVD-Rom in it, so I need to be able to make a bootable DVD, from the 2 floppies for Ghost. I can make a bootable DVD, from one floppy, with Nero 6, but not from 2 floppies. I was using an old Easy CD Creater 5 (Air Force doesn't like to spend too much money), which would let me create a bootable CD, but not DVD.

This is what is going down now. I've used a bunch of different ways to make the CD bootable, but when I do that, and do a DIR it won't show anything else on the disk except for the stuff that was put on to make it bootable.
