I'm trying to create a volume on an additional disk using diskpart.exe in dos. The disk shows up but has no volume info nor does XP assign it a drive letter. do you have to use the command line? if not, you can use "Computer Management" (start -> run -> "compmgmt.msc /s"), then click on "Disk Management", from there you can create partitions and format the drive.
