Why do you need an XP boot disc when you listed your OS as Vista? And what do you plan on doing once you boot off the disc?

I suggest that you consider a linux cd. There are more than a few linux cd's that are called live cd's. You boot to the cd and it runs somewhat like an XP system only it is linux. It can be used to access your data and move it to an external hard drive or network storage.
