I have lots of shortcuts on my desk top. I want to creat a folder to place on my desktop to hold all these short cuts so they are not being stored on my desk top but in a folder on my desktop. I have several folders now that are present on my desktop with shortcuts in them but I did not create them.

phslaght, what you describe is quite simple. Create a new folder and name it, then either drag/drop the desired shortcuts to the new folder or RIGHTCLICK each and 'send to'. That'll consolidate 'em then you can simply delete any left over detritus.

Fantastic, It worked! You will never know how much I appreciate this info. Drag and drop was the info I did not know. Thank you, thank you,
