I was trying to delete certain files from a game that i just uninstalled coz these files were not deleted after the uninstallation. Everytime I try to delete these files, the message "can't delete file or folder (cyclic redundancy check)" appears. Pls tell me how to delete these files. Any help will be much appreciated.

Pleasant Greetings!
If you switch on your computer, BIOS will load, try manipulating the start-up by pressing [F8] and choose the DOS Prompt Mode (somewhere). Manually, browse through your PC, and hopefully delete it.
If this fails, insert a Win98 Startup Disk and it will still load MS-DOS. If you can't find one, email me back, hopefully, I can send you.

This is not a good thing. I had the same problem on a hard drive of mine. The problem with mine was the a hard drive was going out. For some reason, the specific file I wanted was on a bad sector on my disk. It was impossible to transfer the file (in my case). I was forced to get a new HDD. Sorry!
