OK new here and asking for my Husband who is at a loss to what this problem is. I am not a computer person and have no clue with the LINGO:)

On his computer It is running Windows XP he hasn't had any problems until last week. He turned Computer on and NOTHING. nothing on Screen, keyboard not lite up and not working. Not posting at all. If he kept trying to boot computer up once in a while it will boot. So he ended up getting new Video card. Booted up no problems at first, then it started to freeze up and not booting up again. He has Anti Virus Software and nothing is coming up.

I do have to tell you this happened to my computer last month just not the freezing part of it. Just the not booting up and keyboard not lite, Got new Video card and all is well with this computer but not his:(

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks MrsB

Hi, i spent the last 2 years repairing pc's and the last time i came accross this problem it was the power supply which was intermitantly faulty, it would work from cold (sometimes) but you had no chance once it had warmed up. I don't know if this will solve your problem but it seemed to work for me on that occasion. Failing that then i would open your pc and remove everything including processor, memory and any cards that are pluged in, switch on the machine and see what happens, if nothing happens then change the power supply, dont pay any more than £15 though or you will be being ripped off! If you do get some life from the board then add the components one by one starting with the processor this will illilminate any faulty components. Hope this helps. Feel free to email me with the results.

I concur -- almost definitely power supply. Look at getting at least a 400Watt power supply, will cost about $30 in a retail computer store.

Thanks, I will let my Husband know and see if it works. After he replaced the Video Card and still freezing up, He was looking maybe the mother board:( But I hope you all are right because power supply cost much less then a mother board:)
