Whenever i tried to open web pages with java content (eg. java applet, java irc client on a site), internet explorer immediately closes. I tried again with Opera browser but this time the app crashes instead of closing.

Any ideas?

thnx

Go to Sun's website and download Java Runtime from there.

you aren't the only one out there, daniel. i'm having the same problem as you are. I can't run java applets at all. i have a windows xp, 2 gigahertz, and a limited account.

the worst part is that i'm a student learning java, and i cannot run my own applets via internet explorer!

my dad insists that my games affect how java is run on the computer and he refuses to update our java plug-in (1.3)

so if you find a way to fix the problem on your computer, please email me.
