I experience crashes in every game. These are my specs:
win xp home
asus a7n8x-x
athlon 2700
512 ram (one stick) apacer
(ram tested with memtest, post, works fine)
radeon 9200
samsung harddrive 160 gig
turtlebeach sante fe soundcard
Very generic, inferior case, but with two fans. (I keep the case open to give it a breeze)
antec power supply
No overclocking at all. Here is what I tried:
+ updated to latest drivers
+ checked memory using memtest and post
+ replaced graphics card
+ replaced power supply (this stopped some restarts. my 12V was at 13.1 on average, and surged to 13.6) PC now only freezes/restarts when I play 3D games.
+ disabled 8x AGP, acceleration,
+ updated biosOne oddity. My 512 supports 2.5V, but my motherboard supports DDR 2.6, 2.7, 2.8. Could this be the problem right there?
I am very tempted to just refund all the parts and get an emachine from circuit city.

To minimize system resource usage visit BlackViper's site for his Windows XP Home and Professional Service Configurations.
Also before starting a game, shutdown as many background apps as possible including anti virus background scanning.
