Hi,
The Lifebook had Vista Home, I formatted the hard drive and tried to install xp pro (oem version), when windows finishes loading all the drivers it goes to the startup and it stops with a message ‘A problem has been detected and it’s been shut down by windows to prevent damage to your computer’. This does not make sense to me; I even wiped the drive clean. You don’t want to know what tech support said to me. Any suggestions?

in the BSOD there are error codes in the lower part of the screen
we`ll need them so as to determine what`s the problem
POST back with them
our patience is big

The Stop Code '0x0000007b' (0xfffffadf91e323c0, 0xffffffffc0000034) the others are all zeros.
Thank you.

sorry for delay
while booting from the cd, you`ll see a messsage " Press F6 to install SCSI and RAID drivers " --- Press F6 then
if you recently added new hardware, remove it
our patience is big

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. This is a note book and does not have a SCSI or a raid device. I did look for the hard drive controller drivers on Fujitsu's web site, but I did not find any. I do computers and networks for a living and I thought that maybe someone would have run into this problem before. When I spoke to their technical support I was told that this note book was built for Vista (shocking to me) and no guarantee it would work with any other operating system (I’ll never recommend their products).
Thank you again.
