Yesterday I was hearing unknown noises from my tower and thought that maybe a fan was going bad, but after a check on each fan they were all running properly. I then thought that the new hard drive I replaced two months ago was going, but was unsure since the sound would come and go. I then started checking further into my system and was wondering why my CPU Usage was maxed out between 98 and 100 within the task manager; and now today it's between 2 and 10 without the noise? Is there any way to find out what may of caused this issue?

Something is running to use CPU cycles. You may need to run AV, spyware, malware utilties. Could just be something updating. Watch task manager to see what process is using the cycles. The cooling fans will speed up when required.

Here are some ways to cut down down on CPU access
Disable the amount of services running in the background-- You can do this by altering your computer configuration. Here is how:
1. Open your Start menu.
2. Click Run
3. In the command screen type "msconfig.exe"
4. In the "system configuration utility",click either "service" or "startup" tab
5. Uncheck all programs that your are no longer using.
6. Click "OK"Keep an eye on the processes which are eating up resources at the time by going into System Config Window by pressing Control-Alt-Delete:
Hope this helps!
