hi everyone, unfortunately i seem to be having a problem- hopefully someone out there will be able to help me. My computer is running slowly, and the CPU Usage is constantly at 100%, even when i have no programmes opened. Not knowing much about any of these tech things i dont have a clue why. For your information: I usually use Adaware and VirusScan software, but these cannot detect the problem. Having looked around for info i downloaded Spybot and Hiack This. Spybot also seems to be unable to fix the problem- i can send a log file from Hijack this incase anyone can understand it... Any ideas will be appreciated, thanks, ngotb.

Hit Ctrl - Alt - Del Click the task manager button Click on the "processes" tab Which process in the list is the one that's using up your CPU resources?

Look at the CPU area and look down the list for the process which has the highest cpu usage.

Description: The FrameworkService.exe file is a process by Network Associates belonging to their E-policy orchestrator anti-virus suite. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.
Looks like your anti virus software may be working overtime or is fighting something on your system???

Could be a bug in the anti-virus software. If it was dealing with a virus it would have given you some alert to that fact. I would suggest reinstalling your anti-virus software. Even better would be to uninstall first then reinstall.
If that does not work, you could try contacting their technical support.
