Reply: I personally think that the task manager of windows XP SUCKS, but it means that you have a CPU that is not fast enough for the programs you are running, but it probably will still work, but stall alot, to fix it, get a bigger CPU.

Reply: Rich, Pls give detail about your hardware first. Then inform what programs you have; and the programs that are running at the time of 100% CPU usage. See, let's try to do the 'eliminating' thingy. Post back. Good Luck.

Reply: SCREW ELIMINATION!! click on the processes tab right next to your performance tab in task manager. Look in the column that says "CPU" It will only show single or double digit numbers. Look for the program that is hogging most of your cpu cycles... Click the end process button

Reply: It seems through Win task man. that the program Hogging up my CPU is my motherboard, CPU monitor. Shut it down and I'm at 1% usage. Once in awhile I need a kick in the ass and some help to figure things out. Thanks
