cpu usage 100%

Hopefully someone can give me some advise. Every time I try to print something or when I reboot my computer my cpu usage goes to 100% resulting in a long boot time or a long wait for pages to print. Taskmanager shows that hpdarc.exe uses from 75-95%

It is possible that your registry has become cluttered with useless entries and hence the slowness.
Download, install and run Advanced SystemCare Free v3. It will analyze your system and suggest what needs to be rectified. Hopefully this software will resolve your problem.
If it does not then you could disable hpdarc.exe as it is non critical component (according to a number of sites). I have not got a HP printer so I cannot test that out.
