Odd question, hopefully someone can explain:

On all our Windows XP boxes, the CPU Time column within Task Manager counts in intervals of two seconds, not one. This is annoying because when judging whether a system needs to be rebooted by how long its been up, it's no longer an accurate picture.

Anyone have any ideas?

Forget about Task Manager. Give StatBar a tryout. I installed it on all PCs I service because of its 19 information modules, one of which is CPU uptime.
