cpu not working

My cpu is not switching on while the power is on.
before that it was turned on and began to boot.
after the desktop will come or when we use it it
will off automatically. so i cleaned the ram and
placed it again. now it is not working. what can i
do?

1st thing: cpu is processor, not a computer

2st : reseat the ram again

3st : give more info ( do you hear any beeps or something ? )

snehaviswam, could be a number of things from a tripped breaker/dead plug to an internal computer problem. Think I'd start in with a voltmeter and see where it goes AWOL. Bad switches and also power supplies are common.
